Andy Wirth is on a mission to make the ski resorts of California household names. He currently heads Squaw Valley Ski Holdings, where he focuses on increasing tourism to the Squaw Valley region. While California is well known for its tourist friendly beaches and warm locales, the snowy ski resorts found in its mountains are generally ignored by the tourism industry. Andy Wirth aims to change that by making travel to the Squaw Valley easier and giving tourists a much more attractive experience. He does this now only through his position as the CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings, but through a variety of organizations he has joined, such as the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board.
One of the most important aspects of getting tourists to choose Squaw Valley as their tourist destination is to improve traffic to the region. To do this Wirth has joined the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board, which is responsible for the development and maintenance of airports throughout the region. With better airports tourism will naturally take off in Squawk Valley. His experience in international resort management will serve him well as the chairman of the Reno airport board. Since the economy revolves around tourism his experience is vitally needed at the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority Board.
Adam Wirth has proven himself with a long and storied career as the manager of international results and the CEO of Squaw Valley Ski Holdings.
