Eric Paul Lefkofsky is a prominent American entrepreneur. He was born in 1969 in a Jewish family in Southfield, Michigan. He studied his high school education at Southfield-Lathrup High School and graduated in 1987. He then proceeded to the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors in 1991. His desire for knowledge led him to the University of Michigan Law School in 1991 where he enrolled and graduated with Juris Doctor degree in 1993.
After completing his university education in 1993, Eric Lefkosky ventured in entrepreneurship activities. He partnered his former schoolmate, Brad Kelly, and began selling carpets within Michigan University. In 1999, the two partners established an internet company, Starbelly, which specialized in developing promotion products. Starbelly experienced tremendous growth and in 2000, it was purchased by Halo industries.
After selling Starbelly, Eric and his business partner established Innerworkings Company towards the end of 2001. The firm was founded to provide a solution to the inefficient and outdated marketing programs that were being offered to businesses. Under the leadership of Eric Lefkosky, Innerworkings was able to acquire tenders from various mid-sized companies due to their innovative marketing campaigns they offered. The company also strengthened its position in the market through the acquisition of several other firms. Mr. Erick served on its board of directors until October 2012.
In 2010, Erick and his long-term business partner announced the launching of a new business venture called Lightbank that planned to create new companies in Chicago. Since its inception, Lightbank has established several firms among the Tempus Health Inc.
Tempus health is a health-tech company that seeks to develop equipment to modernize the cancer treatment process. Tempus medical tools facilitate physician and other medical practitioners make real-time and data-driven therapeutic decisions by helping in the analysis of patient’s genetic code in the perspective of molecular treatments.
